When I think of words that create deep reaction and stir the soul, a few come to mind.
Hope. Possibility. Grit. Wild. Free.
I like the positivity and peace that I feel in my body when I say HOPE and POSSIBILITY in my head or aloud. The word GRIT gives me a sensation of digging deep and getting dirty. It has solid intention. When I want to channel my inner Rocky, this word is one I turn to.
For my actual writing? I love the words WILD and FREE. It reminds me of horses galloping, tails swishing in the wind, ears pinned back. I think of flying or throwing my hands out in total abandon. It even gives me that F—You image because no one is going to tell me to be quiet, stay in my lane, or be small. I’m going to be me, in all my mess and joy.
So, when I realized it was time to find a title for my new writing book, I wanted to keep my branding. Write Naked and Write True were projects of the heart—a way to give back to writers everywhere and be part of the community. Being a writer is an identity that brands my soul. Words and stories allow me to make sense of the world. It is my pathway here. When I eventually pass on, those words will be my footprints in the sand; my legacy; my way of saying I was here and this is what I thought. It’s such a powerful way to stand tall and proud, even when there’s chaos and dumpster fires around us.
I’m thrilled to share my new book is titled, Write Free. I feel it will be a perfect addition to your writer’s library. Like the format in Writers Inspiring Writers, I wanted shorter essays to be the cornerstone; vignettes that we can pick up here and there. You can read a chapter, get a shot of inspiration or a good laugh, then go on with your day. It’s a way to keep us in the zone without committing hours to learning.
Here’s the blurb:
In a world of less attention, short videos, scrolling, and AI, writers are always looking to write more, grow faster, and market savvier. But what if what we needed instead was bite-size pieces of quiet inspiration? A way to feel re-connected to our Muse, creativity, joy, and other writers? To feel not so alone and allow a reset? In Write Free, Jennifer Probst has put together a book of essays about writing. Ranging from laugh-out loud stories about comparing writing and orgasms; to heartful advice on how to get through struggles of block and grief, Write Free allow creatives to take a breath, a laugh; a smile; and remind themselves why they write. Easy to read, re-connect with our cranky Muse, and get back to what we were born to do. Share our stories.
Here’s the cover, which I’m completely OBSESSED with:
Now, it’s time for Part 2 of my announcement – which is even bigger than a new book.
I’ve been working on this project for two years. Finally, I can reveal it’s ready to launch in a blaze of glory!
Get ready for the official Write Naked Course: How to find joy, transform fear, and achieve success in your writing career.
That’s right. I’m finally able to offer an intimate, dynamic course I’ve dreamed of putting together. It’s different from many I’ve seen – a more personal deep dive into being a writer in every aspect. Combining hands-on instructions for craft and marketing, I’ve also entwined special keynotes, tips & tricks, and personal stories on video to inspire, instruct, and share this amazing career in all its ups and downs.
The words I mentioned above?
These are the words that built my new book. That fuel my course. That define my purpose.
Kickstarter is the perfect place to launch. I can offer the book, the course, and some special extras I know you’ll love. If you’re a writer and want someone who believes in you, someone who’s walked beside you on this journey, I hope you’ll hop over to Kickstarter and hit FOLLOW THIS CAMPAIGN from the link.
This way, when we officially go live, you won’t miss out on some early bird bonuses.
Thank you – and please share with your fellow authors! More to come!
Wishing you much luck with your new projects
